According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle was traveling west on Rt. 5 when it went off the roadway and struck a house at 3473 W. Main Street Road in the Town of Batavia. Sgt. Andrew Hale says the driver and a passenger were transported to ECMC with injuries believed to be minor.

Hale says the house suffered some damage near the porch but is structurally sound. The driver will be ticketed for speed not reasonable and prudent for conditions as road conditions had deteriorated in the area due to snow covered roads.
