RTS and Tops Markets partner to provide access to groceries for residents of Perry

Shopping Shuttle Will Help Perry Residents Get to Tops Every Other Tuesday through the End of the Year

Press release

Silver Springs, NY: Thanks to a partnership with Tops Friendly Markets, Regional Transit Service in Wyoming County (RTS Wyoming) will operate a grocery run from Perry to the Village of Warsaw Tops store every other Tuesday from November 18, 2025, through December 30, 2025. Rides on this shopping shuttle will be free, thanks to the generous sponsorship from Tops. Residents of Perry lost their only grocery store earlier this year making it more difficult to meet this need.

“The team at RTS works hard to develop strong partnerships with organizations in every community we serve, and we do our best to bring those partners to the table to support customers in need whenever we can,” said RTS CEO Miguel Velázquez. “I thank our friends at Tops Friendly Markets for stepping up to subsidize this grocery run to help residents of Perry who lost their only grocery store. And I thank the RTS Wyoming team for working with Tops to make this happen.”

“Supporting the communities we serve is part of who we are at Tops Friendly Markets,” said Joe Macadlo, district manager for Tops Friendly Markets. “When we learned how the loss of Perry’s only grocery store was impacting residents, we knew we wanted to help. We’re proud to partner with RTS to make sure families have reliable access to fresh food and everyday essentials.”

Effective Dates (bi-weekly Tuesdays):

11/18/25, 12/2/25, 12/16/25, and 12/30/25
