MT. MORRIS — Amanda “Mandy” Steadman was awarded a certificate of achievement from New York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Arc GLOW’s State Street building.

Steadman is one of 45 New Yorkers employed on NYSID contracts nominated this year. She began her career for Arc GLOW in 1991, and in 2018 added NYSID contracts to her duties.

“Mandy consistently demonstrates a level of commitment and thoroughness that significantly enhances the environment at Silver Lake Day Services, for both coworkers and the customer, the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities,” said Kellie Kennedy, Arc GLOW vice president of Day and Employment Services.

Steadman takes great pride in her work and the improvements she has shown with her stamina and quality in recent years. Her supervisor said Steadman has come a long way, and she relies on her to get the job done.

Steadman is known for her positive attitude, reliability and responsibility by her co-workers, but she describes herself as “friendly, honest, lovable, and hardworking.”
