Press release:
Kolb Family Automotive is conducting a toy drive at both of its Batavia locations to help families and children in need during the Christmas season.
Those who drop off a new, unwrapped toy or game at either shop – Kolb West, 4003 West Main St. Rd., or Kolb East, 504 Ellicott St. – through Dec. 17 will receive a gift certificate good for $20 off any car or truck service.
“This is our way of sharing the Christmas spirit of giving and for our appreciation of the community that has supported us so well,” said Dan Kolb, owner. “Our family and our business have been extremely blessed.”
Kolb said all toys and games received at his service centers would be dropped off to the Salvation Army office at 529 East Main St. on Dec. 18 for distribution to local children and families.
Dan Kolb, owner of Kolb Family Automotive, right, and Staff Sgt. Branden Langland, local Army recruiter, invite the public to participate in a toy drive at the two Kolb service locations through Dec. 17.
A Marine Corps veteran, Kolb is being supported in this initiative by all branches of the Armed Forces’ recruiting offices in Batavia, said Army Staff Sgt. Branden Langland.
“We welcome the opportunity to join Dan and his team in this toy drive,” Langland said, “and will do our part to get the word out to other recruiters, families and service members. The Army and all of the military branches count it a privilege to take part in as many community activities as possible.”
Kolb Family Automotive opened its West Main Street Road location three years ago and its Ellicott Street Road shop in September of this year after purchasing the former Falleti Motors property.
An Oakfield resident, Kolb said he entered the auto repair business with a goal of creating an affordable and trustworthy alternative to car dealerships.
“We’ve taken the past three years and created processes, and those processes we’re constantly changing, constantly updating and we’re trying to make everything better, especially for the customer,” he said.
Kolb Family Automotive is a AAA-approved and Napa-certified service center, offering a complete array of preventive maintenance and repairs as well as undercoating. For more information, call 585-343-6891 or go to www.kfauto.net.
