BATAVIA — Thanks to the generous support from the Rotary Club of Batavia, individuals supported by Arc GLOW can safely participate in aquatic recreation.

The grant was used to purchase a new pool lift, ensuring people of all abilities can safely enjoy swimming and other aquatic activities. Using the lift, staff can safely assist individuals, opening the pool to everyone Arc GLOW supports.

“This lift has allowed us as an agency to provide joy to individuals we serve by offering them access to an activity they haven’t been able to access simply because of a physical barrier,” said Sara James, an occupational therapist at Arc GLOW.

Arc GLOW is a public non-profit support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties. For more information, visit ArcGLOW.org.
