GENESEE COUNTY/Sheriff’s Office investigating a serious injury accident in Alabama

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious injury, one car motor vehicle collision that occurred on Bloomingdale Road in the Town of Alabama. The Genesee County Emergency Dispatch Center received the 9-1-1 call reporting the injury accident at 10:52 PM

Upon arrival, patrols identified the operator of the vehicle as Joliee P. John, age 22, of Basom N.Y. John was the operator of a brown, 2018 Ford SUV that was traveling in a northeasterly direction on Bloomingdale Road with two juvenile passengers in the vehicle.

A preliminary investigation indicates that John was traveling in a northeasterly direction, when she lost control of the vehicle and exited the northwest shoulder of the roadway, striking a tree before the vehicle came to rest. John and a juvenile passenger were ejected from the vehicle and appeared to have serious
physical injuries as a result of the collision and subsequent ejection from the vehicle.
All occupants were transported to Buffalo area hospitals for further evaluation and
medical care.

At this time the accident is still under investigation by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office Crash Management Team. Assisting at the scene were members of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Fire Department and Mercy EMS.
