Press Conference- January 27, 2026-Old County Court House/City of Batavia-Genesee County
Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) held a press conference to announce $10M in Community Project Funding (CPF) for the Batavia Water Tower project on Tuesday morning. The funding will support critical water infrastructure improvements to ensure long-term reliability and public safety for Genesee County residents.
The Batavia Water Tower project is intended to modernize aging infrastructure and strengthen the county’s water system. Congresswoman Tenney has prioritized securing federal resources for local infrastructure projects that deliver tangible benefits to Upstate New York communities.

“You can just tell when nobody wants to be in the room with a person. I saw the full interview and it’s easy to see that nobody likes or even respects her. Their body language is just all off. Very closed. I think it’s a disservice to be advertising her supposed $10M secured for Genesee County, something that was previously secured as a service to human basic rights and water development and quite frankly has nothing to do with her, aside from her current seat. This service is to be provided by the hard work of the military, and public funds raised by taxes that we the people have the right to benefit from, and the water issue would need to be addressed either way, it seems like a ploy for her to take credit with a great big, huge sign. That sign should have soldiers on it, not her face. It’s just all narcissistic. It is a fundamental resource that people peacefully assemble to protest and her standing against that is unconstitutional. I urge her to focus on the actual issues at hand, forget the big signs with her own face on it, and stop trying to control people to feel relevant. There has been no issue with any protest in Genesee County, or the resources of police to respond, and I feel like her public message is an opportunity for her to rant about her own personal take on immigration in this country, rather than using her resources for more important matters. It’s all very hateful. I could argue that my father, and federal agent, moving us here from the Rio Grande border to open that immigration prison over on Federal Drive, and growing up in the midst of immigration policy, gives me far more qualifications to speak on the matter, but I am no narcissist, so I generally mind my own. Take a page. It’s very superficial, this energy she is giving. What makes all this more comical, is that my father’s time in the service was spent building armed tanks to protect his country and fixing water and wastewater systems in the Arizona desert for their locale. I have a photo of my father painted lobster red from working in the sun if you would like a real face for that poster. My father, Republican, Virginia born, and retired federal immigration agent will always stand by my right to peacefully assemble on immigration reform, as will any veteran and immigration officer, that is what he/they served for, and he/they will continue to hold the constitution above all else, including your uninformed opinion, Ms. Tenney. Not to mention, that your comments on Democracy are horrendous. I am a Democrat and my D-Day First Wave Veteran Great Uncle fought for my freedom to be that. He encouraged it. You disrespect his purple heart, the crutches that are in my closet that he used since he was 19 until nearly 100 years old, the photo that hangs over my guest bed of the woman that nursed him back to health after the war that he held for nearly 70 years, when you say things that you are not capable of understanding. My Great Uncle bought me ribbon candy from Oliver’s my entire life, every holiday, without fail, these are people whose lives have been and continue to be here. These are people that fought for and built their community and continue to do the work so that you can plaster your face all over it and reap credit. So, kindly, quit trying to control others when you are so obviously naive on the importance of being an American. Censorship and control are not Freedom, and they go against what the Republican party has so long claimed to stand for, which just furthers evidence of the hypocrisy that has infiltrated. Do you know how that happens? It happens when you suffer from Dunning Kruger. It’s cognitive bias and it is a mental health issue. You have the capacity to undo all that, it’s called making change, reform, and being a better person. I hope to see that happen. Our soldiers grew up real fast, and it is only fair to put in the effort to meet them halfway. That begins with their honor and protecting their rights, and the rights of their families to carry a picket. -Democrat”
Tenney talks about people not overreacting and advocates against them going out and causing public nuisance with protest, but her administration shoots people in the face and deports American Veterans without judicial warrant.
She talks about how she thinks the government should be more transparent, yet she uses campaign funds to add to the corruption.
She says that Democrats should pay for voting against Trump, an administration that is trying to start WW3, yet her administration is putting people in the position to have to advocate against war. Don’t complain about causing a problem and then being the cause of the problem.
