The Le Roy 5th Grade Red Glow Basketball Team wrapped up their season yesterday with a win against the Le Roy Black GLOW team, and went undefeated for the season, 6-0. The season started in January.
Parents say the accomplishment would not have been possible without their head coach, Ric Vangalio. Coach Ric has coached many of the boys from the ground up, helping shape not only their skills on the court, but their character off of it. He’s tough when he needs to be, but he also knows how to laugh, joke, and truly connect with his players. He pushes them to be their very best, holding them accountable, encouraging growth, and teaching them what teamwork really means. His passion for youth sports, especially basketball, shines through in everything he does. He challenges these kids to be the best versions of themselves both on and off the court, and that impact goes far beyond wins and losses. As parents, we could not be more thankful for such an incredible coach, leader, and role model.
Congratulations to the boys on an unforgettable undefeated season, and a huge thank you to Coach Ric and Coach Josh for pouring so much into these young athletes.
