BATAVIA, NY – Batavia Downs will be the site of a Sports Cards & Collectibles for Charity Event on Sunday, February 22nd. Attendees will be able to browse thousands of sports, non-sports and Pokémon items from vendors inside the Park Place Room from 10am to 4pm.
Admission is just $5 and proceeds will be donated to Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) and the American Cancer Society. Kids 12 and under are free. All those 18 and up with receive a $5 free play with their paid admission.
The doors to the Homestretch Grill will be open for those that attend to grab food and drinks. As always, parking is free at Batavia Downs.
“Cards for a Cure, LLC may be the most unique company in the sports card collecting industry. Founded after my youngest child was diagnosed with a disease there is no cure for, our focus is on increasing donations nonprofits,” said Mark Ridall, Organizer of the Sports Cards Show. “Proceeds from this event will directly benefit the research efforts of Breakthrough T1D (formerly) JDRF, Susan G Komen and the V Foundation.”
