Fire companies from three counties assisted with a second alarm fire on Hudson Road in Wyoming/Pavilion on Sunday night.
20 different units responded to the scene a little after 6PM, when the owner of the house called 911 to report the fire at 6389 Hudson Road. According to First Assistant Chief Codey O’Neill, the owner attempted to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher, but the fire became too large. The occupants of the home were not at home at the time of the fire.
When fire crews arrived on scene the home was fully involved. A second alarm was requested, and fire fighters took a defensive approach in putting out the fire. First Assistant Chief O’Neill says the home is a total loss.
Two adults and one child lived in the residence and will be staying with family this evening. The Red Cross was also called to assist the family.
No injuries reported.
