Bethany, NY — A portion of Silver Road in the Town of Bethany will be closed beginning Monday, March
30, to allow for a bridge replacement project.
The project will involve removing the existing bridge and replacing it with a new precast, reinforced concrete, three-sided structure with cast-in-place wingwalls. The work is located just south of the
intersection of Silver Road and Mill Road and is expected to be completed in July.
There will be no formal detour route in place during the closure. Motorists may use Mill Road, which will
remain open, as an alternate route. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow for additional travel
time
