Cook Properties was on scene at Country Meadows Mobile Home Park today assessing the water break situation on Redwood Drive near Shady Lane with a contractor.
According to Joe with Park Maintenance, they will not turn off the water today, as it will result in the whole park not having water. Joe says they plan to repair the leak on Monday morning because if parts are needed for repairs, they will be able to obtain them to make the repairs. Currently, there are 9 residents without water.

Joe says he learned of the water break at 11AM on Saturday. He says residents should be prepared for a parkwide water shut off on Monday morning while repairs are made. Redwood Drive remains closed between Shady Lane and Overlook Drive.

I think they need to do something. Our water smells awful today, like farts, we are just up the street. The water is all contaminated. People may be drinking that not knowing it has bacteria in it. There is a huge problem with the lines there, there have been 4 or 5 breaks in the past 2 years in the park, in the same 2 spots. It floods the park for days, nobody gets a refund on their water bill. They aren’t fixing it properly and it seems like there is contamination in the lines now. Last fall everyone was trapped outside the park when they paved all the streets and blocked them off for days without any notice at all. They blamed it on the contractor messing up. I got my shoes stuck in the pavement walking in after work with all the other residents. We all got stuck and a few of us fell down even. There were old folks walking from up the street, people carrying everything in on foot, residents trapped from appointments, and I personally missed work that day as I was covered in blacktop after I walked in and slipped. One resident fell into a huge hole that was left by maintenance after “fixing” a leak, that hole is still there in that persons yard. I personally witnessed the person leave a voicemail about the hole and having their shoes replaced for the inconvenience.
For clarification: I worked 2 shifts that day and got stuck at home between one and the other.
So did Cook actually show up and repair the breakage? Are there any plans for maintaining/fixing infrastructure?
