Joining the Arc in May 2019 as CFO, Lynn Fleming was eager to contribute to an organization which held a personal meaning for her. Today, she will continue to contribute with an added title; Chief Operating Officer (COO).
With her dual roles as CFO and COO, Fleming said she will be focusing on strengthening Arc GLOW’s existing services and developing new programs responding to the evolving needs of the people Arc GLOW supports. At the same time, she will be driving operating efficiencies and implementing best practices to ensure Arc GLOW systems, processes, and organizational structure are aligned with the agency’s long-term strategic goals.
“This expanded role allows me to support the organization at a broader operational level while continuing to ensure strong financial stewardship,” Fleming said.
Fleming initially joined Arc GLOW as CFO because she was ready to take the next step in her career and move into a senior financial leadership role. She said she knew she wanted to continue working in the nonprofit human services field, where strong financial stewardship directly supports mission-driven impact.
“Lynn is most deserving of the promotion to Chief Operation Officer for Arc GLOW. She has served us most proficiently for the last several years as CFO. Her efforts go beyond financial, she has learned all facets of the Arc GLOW agency, this has qualified her for this added leadership role,” said Eric Parker, president of the Arc GLOW Board of Directors. “Our board of directors is confident she will put her heart into making Arc GLOW even better at serving the families of our GLOW counties.”
“Lynn has played a pivotal role in strengthening Arc GLOW’s financial and operational foundation, and this expanded position reflects the extraordinary impact she has already made across the organization,” said Arc GLOW’s CEO Martin Miskell. “As CFO/COO, she will continue to bring the strategic discipline, operational insight, and steady leadership that have been essential to our growth. This elevation underscores our confidence in Lynn’s ability to help guide Arc GLOW through its next phase as we scale our mission and deepen our community impact.”
Fleming grew up in Livingston County and now lives in Penfield. She holds a bachelors and masters degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut, as well as a master’s in public administration with an emphasis in nonprofit management from SUNY Brockport.
Arc GLOW is a non-profit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties. To learn more about Arc GLOW programs and services, visit ArcGLOW.org.
