Press release
Batavia, NY — Genesee Cancer Assistance has announced that the Annual Joe Gerace Spaghetti Dinner, originally held in the spring, will be postponed and reimagined as a special collaborative event this fall in partnership with Crossroads House.
The event will continue to honor the memory and legacy of Joe Gerace, whose generosity, compassion, and unwavering support impacted countless lives throughout the community. By joining together, both organizations hope to create an even more meaningful evening that celebrates Joe’s spirit of giving while supporting two missions dedicated to caring for individuals and families facing difficult journeys.
The fall event will feature the beloved spaghetti dinner along with a 50/50 raffle and additional opportunities for remembrance and support.
“Joe believed deeply in helping others, and his support touched both of our organizations in significant ways,” said representatives from Genesee Cancer Assistance and Crossroads House in a joint statement. “Partnering together allows us to honor his legacy in a way that reflects the compassion, kindness, and community spirit he embodied.”
The collaborative fundraiser will help support the missions of both organizations:
* Genesee Cancer Assistance provides financial assistance and free support services to Genesee County cancer patients and their families.
* Crossroads House provides compassionate, around-the-clock comfort care at no cost to residents or their loved ones.
The event will be held Saturday, October 24th at Batavia First Presbyterian Church with dine-in and drive-thru options. Ticket information and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in the coming months.
Community members interested in volunteering or sponsoring the event are encouraged to contact either organization for more information.
