Batavia, NY — After no one hit the Pick-5 wager at Batavia Downs on Wednesday (Sept. 9), there is a $538 carryover pool for that wager in the first race on Saturday (Sept. 12) and the management of Batavia Downs has announced that the pool will be guaranteed at $3,000 through the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering program. As part of that program, Trackmaster will provide free full past performance program pages that can be downloaded (when they become available) at handicapping.ustrotting.com.
The Pick-5 at Batavia Downs is a 50-cent minimum wager that starts in race one and runs through race five. Post time for the first race is 5 p.m.
There is also another opportunity to win big at The Downs Saturday with a healthy carryover of $2,653 in the Jackpot Super Hi-5 pentafecta in the 13th race, and that is a 20-cent minimum wager.
Saturday’s card also features the weekly $13,500 Open Handicap pace and a pair of $11,000 Class AA events, providing very competitive and bettable races all night long.
Post time for the first race on Saturday is 5 p.m.
Free full card past performance programs for that race, along with every live race at Batavia can always be downloaded at The Downs’ website (bataviadownsgaming.com) under the “Live Racing” tab. And all the racing action can be viewed as it happens for free at the Batavia Downs Live Stream on YouTube.
