ORLEANS COUNTY/Medina man jailed for the sale of prescription pills

ON MARCH 1, 2017, AFTER AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF PRESCRIPTION PILLS (APRAZOLAM), THE ORLEANS COUNTY MAJOR FELONY CRIME TASK FORCE ALONG WITH THE MEDINA POLICE DEPARTMENT, ARRESTED AN INDIVIDUAL AT 114 EAST CENTER ST. VILLAGE OF MEDINA, N.Y. ON SEVERAL DRUG CHARGES

POLICE ARRESTED:

  • CHARLES J. KNAPP, AGE 48, OF 114 EAST CENTER ST., MEDINA, N.Y. HE IS CHARGED WITH:

3 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL SALE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE FIFTH DEGREE. (CLASS D FELONIES).

3 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE FIFTH DEGREE. (CLASS D FELONIES).

CHARLES J. KNAPP WAS ARRAIGNED IN TOWN OF RIDGEWAY COURT, BY THE HON.JOSEPH KUJAWA, HE WAS COMMITTED TO THE ORLEANS COUNTY JAIL ON $25,000.00 CASH BAIL. KNAPP WILL RETURN TO TOWN OF RIDGEWAY COURT ON MARCH 5, 2017 AT 9:00 A.M.

THIS INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING AND KNAPP MAY FACE MEDICAID FRAUD AND WELFARE FRAUD CHARGES ALSO.
