BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Woman jailed after shoplifting incident

Batavia Police were called to the Dollar General Store on East Main street for a report of a female concealing items on December 17, 2016.

Once on location, Police  confronted Jamie L. Broadbent, 33, of Thorpe St., Batavia, who resisted arrest.

She is charged with resisting arrest, petit larceny, criminal mischief 4th and criminal tampering 3rd after passing all points of sale at the Dollar General at 412 East Main street.

Broadbent was arraigned in City Court and jailed on $3,000 bail.

 

Judy A. Stiles, 58,  of Sheppard Rd., Pavilion, is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, driving with a BAC of .18% or more, following too closely and operating a motor vehicle without headlights after an accident on 301 West Main street.

Stiles allegedly struck another vehicle that was stopped for a red light on West Main street.

During the investigation, it was determined that Stiles had been operating her motor vehicle while intoxicated on December 16, 2016.

She was issued appearance tickets and will appear in City Court on January 3, 2017.

 

 

Daniel J. Eastridge, 21, of Hutchins St., Batavia, is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, driving in the wrong direction on a one way, failed to stop at a stop sign and passing a solid red light after a traffic stop at 5 Denio street on December 24, 2016.

Eastridge was observed allegedly failing to yield for a steady red light signal and was eventually pulled over on Denio street.

It was determined that Eastridge was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

He is due in City Court on January 10, 2017.

 

Noel M. Wentworth, 47, of Pringle Ave., Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th after a small quantity of crack cocaine was located inside her wallet on 6 City Centre on December 5, 2016.

Wentworth is scheduled to appear in City Court on January 10, 2017.

 

James J. Preedom, 32, of Walnut St., Batavia, is charged with unnecessary noise following several noise complaints and warnings at an address on Walnut street on December 21, 2016.

Preedom was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on January 3, 2017.
