GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Albion woman charged in shoplifting incident

Kathleen M. Barnes, 31, of Gaines Basin Road, Albion, is charged with petit larceny after a report of a shoplifting in progress at Rite Aide on West Main street on September 20, 2017.

Barnes vehicle was located traveling in front of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and a traffic stop was conducted.

After further investigation, Barnes allegedly stole approximately $300.00 worth of dental and oral care merchandise from the store.

The driver, Shane Beardsley was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of the City of Rochester. He was turned over to to the Rochester Police Department.

Barnes was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on October 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Town of Batavia Court.

 

Carl T. Amesbury, 25, of Jerico Rd., Bethany, is charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property 5th and drivers view obstructed after a shoplifting complaint at Rite Aide on September 18, 2017.

Amesbury allegedly stole $201.99 worth of men’s fragrances and was allegedly found to be in possession of the stolen items following the traffic stop.

He was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on October 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
