STATE POLICE/Warsaw/ Two inmates charged for their criminal actions against employees at Attica Correctional Facility

Inmate Michael Ford, 30, currently housed at Great Meadow Correctional Facility, Comstock, NY, was arrested for two counts of aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate. Inmate Ford, when housed at Attica Correctional Facility on October 14, 2017, propelled toilet water onto several correctional officers who were responding to an incident within his cell. Inmate Ford is serving a sentence for attempted assault 2nd, attempted robbery 2nd and tampering with physical evidence out of Queens County.

Inmate Shafiqul Islam, 27, currently housed at Five Points Correctional Facility, Romulus, NY, was arrested for aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate.
Inmate Islam, when housed at Attica Correctional Facility on November 6, 2017, sprayed a feces/urine combination from an eyedrop bottle onto a civilian teacher within a classroom. Inmate Islam is serving a sentence for murder 2nd degree and criminal possession of stolen property 4th degree out of Columbia County.

Both Inmates appeared in Wyoming County Court on July 25, 2018 in front of Judge Michael M. Mohun and will reappear in court on a later date.
