On September 29, 2018, Troopers out of Warsaw arrested Joshua H. Bengert, 42, of Strykersville, NY, for driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle on the highway that was unregistered.
Troopers stopped Bengert for operating a Polaris Ranger, a UTV, on the roadway on Rt. 78 in the Town of Sheldon.
Bengert was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests and was transported to the State Police Barracks in Warsaw for processing. Bengert recorded a .13% BAC.
He was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Sheldon Court on October 15, 2018 at 6:30PM.
