WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Man arrested after operating a vehicle with no license plates

Anthony Cardera, 24, of Stafford, VA,  was arrested following a traffic stop on East Buffalo Street in the Village of Warsaw on October 9, 2018 at 4:30a.m..

Cardera was stopped for operating a vehicle with no license plates.

It was found the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured.

Cardera’s driver license was also suspended in New York.

He is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unregistered motor vehicle, and operating without insurance.

Cardera was arraigned in the Village of Warsaw Court by Justice Hyjak. He was committed to Wyoming County Jail on $150 bail or $2000 bond. Cardera is due back in court on January 1, 2019. The Warsaw Police Department assisted with the arrest

 

 

On October 6, 2018, Salman E. Chhapra, 34, of Ontario Canada, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 63 in the Town of Covington.

Chhapra was stopped by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office after allegedly speeding, 73mph in a marked 55mph zone.

During the stop, it was found that Chhapra had an active suspension on his driver’s license from 2013. He was issued citations for aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed operation, and speeding.

Chhapra will answer the charges in the Town of Covington Court at a later date.
