WYOMING COUNTY/Perry/Mlyniec pleads guilty to murder

 

Joseph S. Mlyniec, 60, pleaded guilty to murder 2nd, a class A-I felony, on the condition that he is sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.

As part of the plea, he agreed to waive his right to appeal.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 7, 2018,  Mlyniec, of 2468 Rt. 246, in the Town of Perry, was charged with murder 2nd for the intentional death of Robert Irvine, III, 32, of Perry.

This charge stems from an alleged incident that occurred on or about March 7, 2018 at 2468 Rt. 246 in the Town of Perry.

Joseph Mlyniec intentionally shot and killed Robert Irvine, III. At approximately 5:42 p.m. on March 7, 2018 a 911 call was made by Mr. Mlyniec alerting the authorities to the incident. At that point members of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Upon arriving and surveying the scene, Mr. Mlyniec was taken into custody without incident.
