WYOMING COUNTY/Faulty electric in bedroom cause of house fire in Eagle

Six fire companies responded to a house fire at 6632 Railroad avenue in the town of Eagle on Wednesday night at 6:04p.m.

The house, owned by John Swain, suffered $10,000 in damages after fire broke out in a second story bedroom. No one was injured.

Fire investigators say the cause of the blaze was faulty electric in the second story bedroom.

Two adult occupants will be staying with family and friends.

Firefighters from Bliss, Arcade, North Java, Pike, Castile and Gainesville were on scene for about 3 hours along with Wyoming County Emergency Services and RG&E.
