Six fire companies responded to a reported barn fire at 4096 East Main road in the Town of Attica on Saturday afternoon.
Fire investigators say a heat lamp caused a fire in a barn and caused $70,000 in damages about 2:08p.m.
The barn is owned by Joe and Judy Cutitta.
The barn was a total loss along with some of its contents. All the animals inside were saved.
Fire crews were on scene for 5.5 hours.
Attica, Bennington, Varysburg, Wyoming, Alexander and Bethany responded to the scene along with Wyoming County Emergency Services, Town of Attica and the NYS Police.
