Six fire companies responded to a house fire at 3868 Perry Avenue in the Town of Castile on Saturday night about 9:50p.m.
A neighbor called 911 reporting smoke coming from the roof.
The home was undergoing renovations at the time of the fire and is owned by Kent and Tammy Schrier.
No one was injured.
Fire crews from Perry, Perry Center, Castile, Gainesville, Silver Springs and Leicester were on scene for about 5.5 hours. Also assisting on scene, Wyoming County Emergency Services and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department.
The estimated loss is $15,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
