BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Rochester man charged after allegedly threatening to shoot a person in the head

Willie L. Williams, 34, of Laser St., Rochester, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd/previous conviction, following an investigation into an incident that occurred on June 29, 2020 on Hutchins street .

Williams is accused of pointing a handgun or what appeared to be a handgun at another person’s head, threatening to shoot them.

Williams was arraigned in City Court on July 17, 2020 and is currently being held at the Genesee County Jail.

Justin M. Ferrin, 43, of Albro Rd., Bliss, was arrested on an arrest warrant after turning himself in on an arrest warrant for issuing a bad check in October of 2019.

Ferrin was arraigned in City Court on August 18, 2020 in front of Judge Rogers and released on recognizance.

He will re-appear in City Court on October 8, 2020.

Mark T. Heim, 39, of State St., Batavia, is charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with improper plates and failure to use a turn signal after a traffic stop at 100 West Main street on August 15, 2020.

While conducting the traffic stop, officers located hypodermic instruments.

Heim was processed and issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on November 17, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Herbert B. Gennis, 26, of Raymond Ave., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear in City Court on July 23, 2020 on the charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

Gennis was arraigned in City Court on August 17,2020 by Judge Rogers via Skype. He was released and will re-appear in court on September 3, 2020.

Jordan R. Rose, 19, of Maple St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd/disobeying a mandate, and aggravated family offense, more than one offense within 5 years, after an investigation into a violation of an order of protection.

Rose allegedly violated the order when he allegedly called the protected party numerous times over the phone.

Rose was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on August 25, 2020 at 9:00a.m.

David P. Grossman Sr., 37, of Maple St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt, following a domestic incident where he allegedly contacted the protected party of a stay away order of protection by phone on August 6, 2020.

Grossman was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on November 10, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Rae C. Cook, 31, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd, after Cook was allegedly observed on August 9, 2020 by Batavia Police officers in the presence of a person whom she is to stay away from, per an order of protection out of City Court.

Cook was transported to Police Headquarters, processed and released on an appearance ticket. Cook will re-appear in City Court on November 17, 2020 at 1:00p.m.

Phillip D. Byford, 29, of Brockport Spencerport Rd., Brockport, was arrested on a bench warrant on August 16, 2020 and arraigned in City Court by Judge Rogers.

Byford was released on recognizance and will appear in City Court on October 1, 2020 at 10:00a.m.
