On May 22, 2021, SP Machias Troopers arrested Melanie Toland, 43, of Strykersville, NY for DWI.
During a traffic stop on Hazelmere Avenue in the town of Machias, Troopers observed Toland exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication and determined she had been allegedly operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. She failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Toland was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed a 0.17% BAC.
Toland was released with appearance tickets for Machias Town Court, where she is due to appear in June.
