GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Parolee jailed after holding a person against their will and assaulting them

Wade J. Murphy, 48, of Fancher Rd., Clarendon, is charged with strangulation 2nd, unlawful imprisonment 1st and assault 3rd after a physical altercation at a residence in the Town of Oakfield on July 4, 2021 at 5:35p.m.

Murphy, who was on parole, allegedly held a female victim against her will and strangled her during the incident.

He was arraigned in the Town of Oakfield Court and was jailed without bail. Murphy is scheduled to appear in Genesee County Court at a later date.

Clyde D. Hoskins Jr., 29, of Genesee St., Buffalo, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd/loaded firearm, criminal possession of stolen property 4th/firearm and tampering with physical evidence, following an investigation into a loaded pistol being located in a chicken coop in the town of Stafford on Rt. 237.

Hoskins was arraigned in Stafford Town Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. He is scheduled to re-appear in Stafford Town Court on August 12, 2021 at 6:00p.m.
