Our Mission
As determined by the Michael Napoleone Memorial Foundation’s Board of Directors, the mission of the Foundation is to “LEND A HAND FOR HOPE”:
- Assist families whose children are undergoing cancer treatment with expenses related to hospital stays, provide those children with support during treatment and the means to remain connected with school, family and friends.
- Support ongoing research efforts in pediatric blood cancers.
- Offer assistance to youth organizations and community sports programs in Michael’s memory.
Through the years, the Foundation has (as of 4/19/22):
- Assisted 485 families, and given $591,467 in support (including 155 families who received more than once)
- Contributed $91,017 to Pediatric Cancer Research
- Donated $68,559 to youth sports/organizations
- Donated $50,000 to Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester, NY
- Pledged $25,000 to the new Pediatric Patient ICU room at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY
