GENESEE COUNTY/Indictments

A Genesee County Grand Jury has indicted Jason P. Gorton, accusing him of the crime of assault first degree, a class B violent felony, after causing serious physical injury to another person by means of a dangerous instrument, a cell phone, in a December 26, 2021 incident in the Town of Batavia.

Isaac D. Abrams has been indicted and is accused of burglary 1st degree, a class B violent felony, after knowingly entering or remaining unlawfully in a dwelling in the Town of Alabama, causing physical injury to a person in the incident on December 28, 2021.

In count 2, Abrams is accused of assault 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor, after causing injury to another person during the above-mentioned incident.

Edward S. Demetsenaere has been indicted and is accused of the crime of driving while intoxicated, a class E felony, after allegedly operating his vehicle on Rt. 63 in Pavilion while in an intoxicated condition on October 27, 2021.

In count 2, he is accused of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 1st degree, a class E felony, after allegedly operating a vehicle while his license or privilege to operate was suspended or revoked on the above date and location.

Demetsenaere was previously convicted of driving while intoxicated as a misdemeanor on October 22, 2019, in the Town of Hamlin Court in Monroe County. This conviction forms the basis for count 2 in the current indictment.

David B. Kenjockety has been indicted by a Genesee County Grand Jury and is accused of aggravated unlicensed operation 1st degree, a class E felony, after allegedly operating a motor vehicle on Allegany road on August 13, 2021 in Darien, while knowing his license or privilege to operate was suspended or revoked.

In count 2, Kenjockety is accused of driving while intoxicated as a misdemeanor, in the same incident mentioned above.

In count 3, he is further accused of aggravated DWI PER SE, as a misdemeanor, with a BAC of .18 % or more in the same incident mentioned above.
