BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/Ross street man charged with felony sexual abuse after incident with delivery driver

Sex Abuse 1st – Contact by Forcible Compulsion, 11:48 PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, Ross St. – It is alleged that on May 24, 2022, at a location in the City of Batavia, the suspect, Jeffrey D. HALL, M/38 of Batavia, NY, grabbed onto a Door Dash employee forcing her to touch his intimate parts. The victim is a 63-year-old woman. HALL was arrested and charged with Sex Abuse in the 1st Degree, a Class D-Felony. Hall was arraigned in front of Judge Rogers and released under his own recognizance. He is scheduled to re-appear in Batavia City Court on 7/13/2022 at 3:00 PM.

DWI; DWI – BAC >.08% or more; Consumption of Alcohol in a motor vehicle, 12:15 AM, Friday, June 24, 2022, W. Main St. – On 6/24/2022, Adam N. HUME, M/38 of Pavilion, NY, was arrested on the above listed charges. Hume allegedly operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated, in the area of W. Main St.  was released on appearance tickets and is due back in court 7/5/2022 in Batavia City Court.

Criminal Contempt 2nd, 8:58 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, E. Main St. – Latoya D. JACKSON, F/36, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above date and time on the included charges after she allegedly violated an order of protection in the area of Clinton St. and E. Main St. Jackson was issued an appearance ticket and is due to appear in Batavia City Court on July 5th, 2022.

Criminal Contempt 2nd, 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2022, E. Main St. – On 6/25/2022, Andrew J. DRAPER, M/43 of Batavia, NY, was arrested after he was found by the City of Batavia Police Department violating an order of protection. It is alleged that Draper was found to be with the protected party when the Police made contact with Draper about a separate incident. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to City Court at a later date.

Criminal Mischief 4th, 11:26 AM, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Holland Ave. – On 6/25/2022, Tammy M. ACE, F/47 of Batavia, NY, was arrested for criminal mischief 4th degree after she allegedly dumped bleach on another person’s belongings. Ace was issued an appearance ticket with a return court date of 6/28/2022 at 1:00 PM.

DWI – BAC > .08% or more; DWI, 7:55 PM, Friday, June 17, 2022, E. Main St. – Michael W. WILLIAMS, M/63, of Batavia, NY was arrested on June 17th, 2022, at 8:19 PM after a complaint at a local business where it was believed Williams was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. Subsequent to the investigation, Williams was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court at a later date.

DWI – BAC > .08% or more; DWI, 4:26 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2022, Washington Ave. – On 6/23/2022, Michael W. WILLIAMS, M/63, of Batavia, NY was arrested during a traffic stop on Washington Ave., where he was allegedly found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated. This is Williams’ third DWI arrest since 5/31/2022. He was issued traffic tickets and released. Williams is scheduled to appear in court on 7/6/2022.

DWI; Fail to signal lane change; Consumption of Alcohol in a motor vehicle; Inadequate headlights; Insufficient tail lamps, 12:13 AM, Saturday, June 11, 2022, E. Main St. – Brian J. FERGUSON, M/35, of Batavia, NY, was arrested after being stopped by Police Officer Freeman for traffic offenses. After a roadside investigation, Ferguson was arrested for DWI. Ferguson was brought to the Genesee County Jail to await arraignment and the immediate suspension and subsequent revocation of his licensing or operating privilege. While waiting at GCJ, Judge ROGERS advised Officers to release FERGUSON on an appearance ticket.

Criminal Trespass 2nd, 7:58 AM, Sunday, June 19, 2022, S. Main St. – On 6/23/2022, Oraid M. BLACKSHEAR-EDWARDS, M/38 of Batavia, NY, was arrested after an investigation into an incident where it was alleged that Blackshear-Edwards was found sleeping inside of a City residence that he did not reside in. BLACKSHEAR-EDWARDS was issued an appearance ticket to appear in City Court on a later date.

Petit Larceny, 11:26 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2022, E. Main St. – On 6/25/2022, Andrew J. DRAPER, M/43 of Batavia, NY, was arrested after an investigation into a larceny. It is alleged that DRAPER had taken 2 rings from another resident in the City of Batavia and sold them without having the owner’s permission. DRAPER was issued an appearance ticket to appear in City Court on a later date.

Criminal Contempt 2nd, 4:28 PM, Friday, June 17, 2022, State St. – On 6/25/2022, Matthew D. DERRICK, M/37, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on the above charge. It’s alleged that Derrick contacted another person on social media, in violation of an order of protection. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 7/5/2022.  

Petit Larceny, 6:05 PM, Friday, June 24, 2022, Ellicott St. – On June 24, 2022, at or about 6:24 PM, Julie L. DUTTON, F/27, of Le Roy, NY, was arrested for Petit Larceny after she allegedly stole two alcoholic beverages from a local grocery store. Dutton was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court at a later date.  

Petit Larceny, 1:05 PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, Ellicott St. – On 6/24/2022, at or about 6:24 PM, Julie L. DUTTON, F/27, of Le Roy, NY, was arrested for Petit Larceny after an incident at a local business on 6/21/2022 where Dutton allegedly stole property. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court at a later date.  

Failure to appear on a bench warrant, 8:26 PM, Thursday, November 4, 2021, Ellicott St. – Christine M. CAPLIS, F/41 of Batavia, NY, was arrested on an outstanding Batavia City Court Bench Warrant after failing to appear in court. CAPLIS is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 6/30/2022 at 3:00 PM.
