GENESEE COUNTY/Basom man facing a five-count indictment, including attempted murder and assault charges

Jarrett C. Coniglio, 29, of the Tonawanda Indian Reservation, Alabama, NY, is facing a five-count indictment handed up by a Genesee County Grand Jury. Coniglio is accused of the crimes of attempted murder 2nd degree, a class B violent felony, assault 1st degree, a class B felony, criminal possession of weapon 3rd degree, a class D felony, intimidating a witness 3rd degree, a class E felony, criminal mischief 4th degree, and menacing 3rd degree, after an incident on Sandhill road on the Tonawanda Indian Reservation on April 11, 2022 at 1:51a.m.

Coniglio allegedly attacked a male victim with a knife, stabbing him, causing serious physical injury. The indictment further accuses Coniglio of preventing the victim from using the phone to request emergency assistance and also intimidating a witness.

Coniglio was previously convicted of the crime of assault in the second degree, a class D felony, on or about March 9, 2022 in Genesee County Court, which forms the basis for count 3 in the indictment, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree, a class D felony.
