On September 30, 2022, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested Daniel L. Goodell, 41, of Wichita, Kansas, charging him with 12 counts of sexual abuse 1st degree, class D felony, 12 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of sexual conduct with a child 2nd degree, a class D felony.
Between 2019 and 2021, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Batavia received two complaints involving children possibly being sexually abused. An investigation determined that 13 and 12 year-old victims were sexually abused multiple times.
Goodell moved from New York before investigating these incidents.
Goodell was eventually located in Kansas and was extradited from Kansas to Genesee County on September 30, 2022. He was arrested and processed at SP Batavia.
Goodell was arraigned in the town of Alexander Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash/ $60,000 bond.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office has pending charges on Goodell.
