The Varysburg Fire Department responded to 3130 Dunham Road in the Town of Orangeville at 7:37am on December 30, 2024 to find an unoccupied home and garage consumed by fire in the overnight hours.
According to Wyoming County Emergency Services, the fire was never discovered during the overnight hours. The owner, Erik Hibsch, stopped by the address and found that only the masonry basement remained while the house and the garage were totally consumed by fire.
The home and garage are a total loss. the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Varysburg Fire and Wyoming County Emergency Services along with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was on scene for about 2 hours. National Grid also responded.
