H.E. Turner & Co., Bohm-Calarco-Smith, and Burdett & Sanford Funeral Homes held their 30th Annual Service of Prayer & Remembrance on Wednesday, December 3rd, at Northgate Free Methodist Church, on Bank Street Road in Batavia.
The annual gathering provides families with a meaningful way to honor loved ones during the holiday season.
“Each year, families tell us how meaningful this service is as they navigate the holidays,” said Justin Calarco-Smith of H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home. “For some, it marks their first Christmas without someone they love. For others, returning annually has become a comforting tradition that helps them feel connected and supported.”
A candle was lit in memory of each loved one and remained illuminated throughout the service.
The service was also available via live stream for those joining from home.
This service included music, prayer, scripture, the reading of names, the tolling of the bell in remembrance, and a message of hope delivered by Reverend John Keller.
